In 1973, the Mario Montessori 75 Fund, a non-profit philanthropical foundation, was created by friends and colleagues of Dr. Montessori's son, Mario Montessori, in order to assist the professional training and preparation of Montessori trainers. In recent times, as Maria and Mario Montessori's co-workers gradually disappear, it is becoming increasingly clear that if Maria Montessori's prime directive is to be carried out, an explicit structure needs to be in place to ensure the continuation of her work. In view of this, the scope and objectives of the MM75 have been broadened to include the following projects: MM75

Besides her published works and specific guidelines for the creation of Montessori apparatus, Maria Montessori left behind a vast body of unpublished material. An archive of her writings is to be created, digitised, catalogued, translated and made universally available to all interested scholars.

International Study Centre

An International Study Centre is being planned which will include the following:
AMIan international training centre providing courses for Montessori educators
AMIa collegium for training of Montessori trainers
AMIfacilities for researchers into Dr Montessori's work
